Welcome
Welcome to The District CE Primary School. The Friends of District are a committee of parents, teachers and friends, who meet every term otherwise known as a PTA.
We are a charitable group, established to raise money, support the school and involve the community, which enables us to make a difference for the children of the District and their learning environment.
In order to do this, at our meetings we discuss ways that we can organise fundraising events, obtain donations and discuss innovative ideas to help to gain funding, which will provide the children with additional resources that can’t be met by the main school budget.
To date, with the help of our parents and the community, we have been able to fund new playground equipment, helped towards school trips, bought books for the children at Christmas time, organised Christmas parties, paid for school sports kits, provided food and refreshments for Summer BBQ’s and many other enrichment activities for the children.
We also organise all the extra curricular events within the school such as Easter Bingo, Raffles and Breakfast with Santa.
If you would like to be a part of the Friends of District please contact the school office, we would appreciate your time and would love fresh ideas.
