Y2C Autumn Term 1 Blog
I am so proud of how well the children have settled into life in Y2C! They have set themselves a very high standard and I can’t wait to see what this year brings. During Autumn Term 1, our topic was Earlestown V London, where we compared life in a northern town with life in the capital city. The children used maps, including maps of the London underground to find their way and plan their day trips, visiting many different landmarks. By the end of the topic, the children could share so many facts about London landmarks and talk confidently about the similarities and differences between London and Earlestown. Part of the children’s learning took place at home and I was blown away by their commitment to continue their learning. We had so many amazing projects in class, showing off the skills of our children and their families. WOW! What an amazing half term!
