Welcome

Welcome to The District CE Primary School.   Firstly, I would like to introduce ourselves, we are a committee of parents, teachers and friends – who meet every term in school.  Our official title is Friends of The District.

The Friends of The District are a charitable group, established to raise money, support the school, create a community and make a difference for our children.

The Friends of the District are a committee which meets every term to discuss and organise fundraising events within school to help raise the little extras for our children which sometimes our budgets do not stretch too.  Previously, we have funded new playground equipment, helped towards school trips, books for the library, Christmas parties, school sports kits.   We organise events within the school such as Easter Bingo, raffle and Discos the lists are endless.  We are constantly looking for new fundraising ideas.

We provide an opportunity to make new friends and are open to all parents, carers, grandparents and teachers, even if you only have a small amount of time available.

Each year, as our children move on to the high school we lose some valuable support. We would love to gain new support to continue enabling our children to enjoy the benefits that the PTFA brings.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to express an interest in the PTFA generally,  please contact the school office and pass on your details and a member of the PTFA will get back to you.

Your support is really valuable to our children and always appreciated.

School Crossing Patrol

Thank you to Mr Thomas for his match fund donation of £500 from H260.

Easy Fundraising

This is a website which allows you to shop at major retailers – in return they will give your supported cause a percentage.

If you click into www.easyfundraising.co.uk and register –  Friends of District –  Newton-Le-Willows

You can follow the link via the easyfundraising button on the right hand side of the screen.

As your ‘supported cause’  all shopping done via this site will benefit our PTFA by assisting us to purchase those little extras which school cannot cover throughout the year.    There are over 3600 retailers on the website so from weekly food shops to purchasing items through ebay, amazon or high street shops each retailer named on the EasyFundraising site will donate to ‘supported cause’.

Save the page on your computer as a favourite or download the ‘app’ to help make your shopping easier.
