Welcome
Welcome to The District CE Primary School. Firstly, I would like to introduce ourselves, we are a committee of parents, teachers and friends – who meet every term in school. Our official title is Friends of The District.
The Friends of The District are a charitable group, established to raise money, support the school, create a community and make a difference for our children.
The Friends of the District are a committee which meets every term to discuss and organise fundraising events within school to help raise the little extras for our children which sometimes our budgets do not stretch too. Previously, we have funded new playground equipment, helped towards school trips, books for the library, Christmas parties, school sports kits. We organise events within the school such as Easter Bingo, raffle and Discos the lists are endless. We are constantly looking for new fundraising ideas.
We provide an opportunity to make new friends and are open to all parents, carers, grandparents and teachers, even if you only have a small amount of time available.
Each year, as our children move on to the high school we lose some valuable support. We would love to gain new support to continue enabling our children to enjoy the benefits that the PTFA brings.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to express an interest in the PTFA generally, please contact the school office and pass on your details and a member of the PTFA will get back to you.
Your support is really valuable to our children and always appreciated.
