Post 1  Learning Assistant Level 2 & MDS 

Post 2  Learning Assistant Level 2 & MDS & BASC Play Assistant 

Learning Assistant Pay:     NJC SCP 3  £15,291.71  to  £15,497.18 per annum. (Pay Award Pending)

Learning Assistant Hours: 27.5  hours per week – Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (term time only + 5 days) 

MDS Pay:     NJC SCP 3  £1,488.11 to £1,511.48 per annum (equalised Pay)(Pay Award Pending)

MDS Hours: 2.5 per week Term Time Only 

BASC Play Worker Pay:     £3,800.90 - £3,843.61 (Pay Award Pending)

BASC Hours:                    3 per week - Breakfast Club Monday - Wed 7:15 - 8:30 am 4 per week - After School Club 
                                      Thursday and Friday 3:30 - 5:30 pm

Our Local Academy Council are looking for two caring, patient, and motivated Learning Assistants with experience of working with primary aged children.

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate experience working with children and will be expected to have good communication skills and empathy with all children.  The Local Academy Council are looking for applicants who are:

  • Work well as a part of a large team
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Are Flexible
  • Support the inclusive ethos of our school
  • Have the ability to demonstrate initiative and good time management skills

In addition, all the Learning Assistants provide lunchtime supervision for 30 minutes per day, which will be paid at an MDS rate.

Post 2 will also be required to cover the Breakfast and After-School Club for 7 hours per week. (Breakfast Club 3 hours Monday to Wednesday, 7:15 am to 8:30 am and 4 hours in the After-School Club, Thursday and Friday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm). This post is temporary and subject to continued self-funding and will cease if the funding ceases or the provision closes.
