What a busy Autumn term! The children have settled into year 1 life without any problems, embracing new challenges and creating some fantastic pieces of work.

Our first topic, ‘all about me’ involved reading many of the Funny Bones stories, our favourite being our own innovated version ‘Bumps in Sea’, we still enjoy sharing this at DEAR time.

In October, our classroom transformed into a space room. We had moon dough to search through to find letters to create our spellings, cheeky challenges to see how many planets and stars we can pick up with tweezers in one minute and we enjoyed sharing How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers. This inspired us to make our own rockets and write a letter to NASA to tell them all about it.

When Christmas arrived in our classroom so did Will the Elf. He has been causing mischief and leaving us.
